Alicante Metro Guide, Schedules And Fares

Alicante Metropolitan TRAM serves Alicante and its nearby areas. It operates under the trademark of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) just like all other narrow gauge railways in the Valencia Community. Metro has started its operation on 15 August 2003 replacing diesel trains running between Alicante and El Campello. Notably, Alicante was the second city in Spain that has introduced tram-trains for the usage of the public.

The Alicante Metropolitan TRAM operates through different modes across various parts of the city: an underground tram railway runs through the Alicante city center, a tram-train runs from Alicante to Benidorm, and commuter trains serve areas from Benidorm to Altea, Denia, and Calp.

Alicante Tram has 71 stations and 5 separate lines covering around 128 kilometers of the network path, only 2 kilometers out of those are tunnels.
